Data: TRC20-USDT Issuance Increases to 72.7 Billion, Reaching a Record High
ChainCatcher reports that the issuance of TRC20-USDT has increased to 72.7 billion, setting a new historical high. Since the beginning of this year, the TRON network has issued nearly 13 billion additional USDT. As of now, TRC20-USDT accounts for 48.6% of the total USDT issuance across the network, with 65.25 million holding accounts and over 2.485 billion cumulative transfers.
Additionally, at the recent TOKEN2049 Dubai event, Justin Sun engaged in a fireside chat with Eric Trump and WLFI co-founder Zach Witkoff. During the conversation, Witkoff revealed that the USD stablecoin USD1 issued by WLFI will be natively deployed on the TRON network.
TRC20-USDT is a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Tether on the TRON network, known for its fast transfer speed and low transaction fees, which have attracted a large number of users and support from multiple exchanges. The TRC20 version of USDT will significantly enhance the existing decentralized application ecosystem on TRON, bringing higher overall value storage and stronger decentralized exchange liquidity, while providing a more convenient blockchain entry point for enterprise partners and institutional investors.
